Script, the regional development agency for writers in the West Midlands, is delighted to announce the launch of TENacity, an exciting programme of playwriting activity taking place over the summer. Delivered at venues across the West Midlands, TENacity will provide professional development opportunities for writers at all stages of their careers.
The programme includes two writers’ labs, a 3-day devising theatre workshop, together with sessions on site-specific theatre, developing community plays and Theatre-in-Education. The programme aims to: facilitate the development of artists and audiences, increase participation in arts activity by the public and most importantly – in light of Birmingham’s ‘City of Culture’ bid – build a distinctive, cultural community in the region. The programme is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, Shropshire County Council and Warwick District Council.
