Natural Sciences Collection

The natural science collections include animals, plants and birds, as well as rocks, fossils and minerals. Exciting objects visitors see include the fossilised skull of the horned dinosaur Triceratops, the skeleton of a giant deer found in Ireland with huge antlers, and numerous other extinct animals and birds. One also gets to see a modern-day polar bear up close, together with a whole host of birds, mammals and reptiles which give an indication of the wide variety of life on Earth.
