Eric’s been swindling the Social for years, pocketing thousands from the government. On paper, his house holds an army of fictitious relatives, lodgers and ailments, but a knock at the door is about to add someone else – a fraud inspector. The wife knows nothing. The lodger knows too much. He’d better think fast. This is farce, pure and simple. There are lies and more lies, people getting knocked out, men without their trousers, mistimings, mistaken identities, cross dressing and dead bodies. Michael Cooney’s comedy tale has the audience laughing from start to finish.
